We operate out of 3 locations in the UK and have experienced continued growth across our 20 years in business.
The role of IT Manager is primarily an internal role. Our reliance on technology means that your role as IT manager is crucial to business continuity and success.
You will be advising senior management and directors on IT solutions that will best help them grow and perform more efficiently. You’ll work on solutions from beginning to end, outlining the most effective resources and oversee projects through design, development to completion.
Whatever project you’re working on, your daily tasks will include:
•Speaking to your management team/clients to find out what they want and to advise them objectively on where IT might make a difference to the business
•Planning the stages of projects and how each affects the business
•Coordinating with the project team on external projects
•Agreeing costs, timescales and standards to be met and monitoring these
•Adjusting the plans where needed
•Managing a VoIP based phone system, which covers various locations
•Managing Windows based PCs, printers and other peripherals
•Looking after and monitoring various hosted platforms, including Microsoft Office 365 (email and Sharepoint, accounting, CRM and ERP
•Looking after our network infrastructure, including switches, router, security appliances and wireless devices
•Managing a selection of mobile devices, including phones, tablets and laptops.
As an IT manager, we will be looking for the following skills:
•Excellent organisational skills
•Strong leadership and decision making skills
•Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
•Understanding of complex information and requirements
•Good prioritisation skills and be flexible enough to adapt plans
•Great IT skills combined with a good head for business
•Ability to explain complex systems in simple terms
•An ability to work to tight deadlines and within constraints
•MCSE, CCNA or similar qualification
•A Project Management qualification, such as PRINCE2 is also desirable, but not essential
Hours and environment
Your hours as an IT manager at Technimove will often be between:
9am to 5.30pm
However, there will be an expectation to work some evenings and weekends, as well as some time spent away from home.
Starting salary will be from £24,000 to £32,000 depending on experience.
